2025 Lead Social Media Intern

Position Overview

  • Manage and update official team accounts across Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

  • Plan long term social media campaigns leading into the season and create concepts for key games such as Homecoming and the Apple Cup.

  • Live post during game days, fall and spring practices, creating real time content that matches the energy and tone of the moment.

  • Capture iPhone content for immediate updates and authentic engagement with fans.

  • Edit and produce video content including highlight reels, player features, interviews, and practice updates.

  • Write engaging captions and stories to enhance engagement and boost audience interaction.

  • Work remotely to deliver real time content during away games, collaborating with team members across states on quarter updates, photo dumps, and other content that needs to be posted.

Remote Work

During away games, I worked remotely to ensure there was real time coverage across our social platforms. I posted quarter updates, score graphics, live photos, and broadcast clips using tools like Clip Pro while communicating with our creative team across states. I managed content on Instagram, X, and Facebook, to connect the game to fans in just minutes.

Internship highlights

  • Stepping into a Lead Creative Media Intern role allowed me to take on greater responsibility in real time environments. I helped guide content coverage during practices, games, and events while supporting and collaborating with other interns to keep content consistent and on brand.

    This experience pushed me to make quick decisions, communicate clearly, and lead by example strengthening both my creative direction and ability to perform at a higher level within a Division I athletics program.

  • During Pro Day, I helped capture and document athlete performance in front of NFL scouts, creating content that highlighted players’ skills and elevated their visibility at the professional level. This experience provided insight into the connection between college athletics and the next level.

  • I assisted in covering youth football camps and kid clinics in Spokane, helping showcase the program’s impact beyond the field. These moments focused on community connection, youth involvement, and building the brand of WSU Football through meaningful interactions.

  • I traveled with the team for away games, including coverage at Oregon State Beavers football, gaining experience in on the road content creation. Working in new environments required quick thinking, strong communication, and the ability to deliver content under tight timelines.
